Advances in Field Data Capturing to Optimize Asset Team Reservoir Development Decision Process

Historically, one of the more time wasting procedures within asset teams in oil companies have been the reporting, duplication and filing of data which is generated in field locations. The workflow typically in use will create many duplicates of data before it finally finds its way to the end destination. With the advances in communication, networking and database technology better solutions are available. We will propose a solution in which data is entered into a computer only once at the field location, and then finds its way to the corporate database. Facilities and procedures need to be created to allow for quality control and data correction before data reaches the final destination.
