摘要

A passive cooling system combining the phase change materials (PCMs) and night ventilation is modelled with Energy Plus for residential buildings in Shanghai. By simulating the main parameters such as property of PCMs and ventilation rate that affect the system design, an initial scheme is given out and the feasibility is proved with a little sacrifice of the comfortable level of the indoor environment. The indoor air temperature is simulated to fluctuate below 28 "C for most of the days, which is the upper level for human body comfort.
