Bridging FDT and FDI – (PPT)

What is FDI? new standard for device integration in process automation; combines advantages of EDDL and FDT; one device package for all host systems; components and tools (IDE) will be available Q1 / 2015. Why bridging FDT and FDI? FDT supports a wide range of communication protocols and is applied to process and factory automation; An FDI Interpreter DTM is used to execute FDI Device Packages in FDT host systems; FDT 2.0 based host systems are able to support any kinds of device drivers (EDDL, DTM, FDI Device Packages) and communication protocols.
