Gas detector network is an important layer of protection in process facilities for prevention gas release accidents of turning into fire and explosion disasters. But traditional standards just provide basic principles of the installation of gas detectors. Recently mathematical programming gradually became an important method to solve the problem. When using the mathematical programming method to optimize the detector layout, different optimization strategies will result in different optimization target models and detector layouts.
