With the growing interaction between natural gas grids and electric power grids associated with the high integration of large-scale wind generation, this paper establishes short-term maintenance strategies for integrated natural gas and electric grids with wind energy integration. Scenarios are simulated to represent wind power volatility. To overcome the adversities caused by the nonlinear and non-convex models of natural gas systems, a piecewise linear approximation approach is used to transform the original nonlinear models into mixed integer linear models. To ensure power balance and gas balance for transmission lines and gas pipelines, a big-M formulation method is used to construct inequalities constraints. The entire problem is modeled as a mixed integer linear programming problem. Numerical tests on a 6-bus system with a 4-node gas gird show the effectiveness of the proposed model.
