This paper presents a simple and low cost direct single to three-phase frequency converter based on cycloconverter for use in Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) systems. The proposed topology has the advantages to conventional topologies commonly used in IPTs' secondary output for three-phase applications; such as switch reduction and capacitor elimination because of no dc-link. Space Vector Modulation (SVM) has been employed as switching strategy due to its ability of improving the quality of output voltage by decreasing Total Harmonic Distortion (THD). To verifying the capability of those topology and strategy to converting the frequency and amplitude of the supply to variable frequency and amplitude of any desired value, two simulations for an IPT system with three-phase output are provided. First simulation uses a three-phase balanced R-L load and in second simulation an induction motor is used.
