摘要

To ensure mining safety and save production cost, it is necessary to make optimum design of the slope for deep-depressed open pit mines, in which the slope angle is increased as large as possible under condition that the safety of the mining production is absolutely ensured. Combined use of limit equilibrium analysis and numerical modeling analysis to realize reciprocal comparison, verification and supplement of analysis results obtained by several relevant but different methods will greatly increase reliability and accuracy of the stability analysis and optimum design of the slope. With the optimum design, the slope angle in Shuichang iron mine has been increased 1°-6° for 11 special sections respectively, which will remarkably reduce the magnitude of striped waste rock and save production cost.
