摘要

This paper presents new and effective results for optimal calculation of the partial ratios of three-step helical gearboxes (or reducers) for getting minimal reducer length. In the paper, basing on moment equilibrium condition of a mechanic system including three gear units and their regular resistance condition, effective models for determining the partial ratios of three-step helical gearboxes were proposed. Especially, by giving explicit models, the partial ratios can be calculated accurately and simply.
