Recycled aggregate (RA) is formed by crushed and categorized deserted concrete. While recycled concrete, which is cast with partial or all recycled aggregate, can reduce the environment pollution and occupancy of cultivable land by construction garbage, but also can reduce the consumption of natural materials and make for resource recycled utilization. In order to realize the performance of recycled concrete and impel the application in construction filed, water dosage and mechanical properties of different types of RC were investigated. The results shows that compare with the RC cast of simple crushed RA, particle shaping RA, and natural aggregate, the former especially the recycled fine aggregate influence disadvantageously the water dosage and compressive strength remarkably. The performance of particle shaping recycled coarse aggregate is similar with normal natural aggregate. Along with the dosage of cement increases, effect on compressive strength by RA decrease correspondingly. Disciplinarian, which RA affects on the splitting tensile strength ratio of concrete remains changelessly. Contrarily, the splitting tensile strength of simple crushing RA concrete is better than that of particle shaping RA concrete because of the latter has less angularity and smooth surface. Consequently, the particle shaping RA is close to the normal gravel. Whereas more attention should be put on improving the splitting tensile strength or ductility of RC made of particle shaping coarse recycled aggregate.
