Abundant coals and skinny hydrocarbon pays are some of the main challenges in Rh field. Based on the cross plot analysis, Density and Gamma combined inversion technique are used to predict the sand and figure out the sand distribution of each prediction unit. And the time slices which are cut from the Density and Gamma combined inversion cube along different horizons layers is very helpful to analysis the horizontal sedimentary microphases feature of different layers. Well proposal is made according to the G&G study in Rh field. Until April 2006, the drilling results of 4 proposed wells are 800-1200bbl/d which proved the accuracy of the Density and Gamma combined inversion technique.
