摘要

In this paper, the mechanisms of desulfurization from flue gas by strong electric field ionization discharge were presented, and the results of experiments were discussed. From the results, the conclusions could be drawn that the removal efficiency of SO_2 could be increased by increasing excitation voltage, the concentration of oxygen and water, and the maximal removal efficiency of SO_2 was up to 100%. The experiment results indicated that strong electric field ionization discharge was an effective and new method of desulfurization from flue gas. OH radicals played an important role in the removal of SO_2.
