摘要

Electrical capacitance tomography technique is used to measure two-phase or multi-phase flow that the dielectric constants of these media are near each other. But it is important to measure oil/water two-phase flow in industrial fields. In this paper finite element simulating method is used and a special simulating software has been developed. Oil/water two-phase flow is used as the experimental object although there exists a remarkable difference between their dielectric constants. The simulating research results state that electrical capacitance tomography can distinguish oil and water to some extent. When oil is continuous phase the distinguishing ability is stronger.
