EMpirical evidence suggested that Ultrasonic amplitude by CBIL tool could be related to formation porosity. A core plug container was designed to investicate this relationship under a variety of controlled conditions. The container holds a number of plugs, radially distributed around the tool transducer. With this expeirmental etup three different experiments have been carried out. Sandstone, limestone and dolostone samples saturated in water and hight hydrocarbon have been used to evaluate the amplitude-porosity relation.
