Proven particulate emissions monitoring technology has recently been married with a PC based network structure to yield an extremely flexible baghouse monitoring system. The basic system has the ability to communicate with up to 250 nodes, and it is expandable. Node types include a triboelectric emissions monitor, a baghouse leak locator, a relay, or other devices measuring differential pressure, temperature, velocity, or other parameter. The key to the network is that it generally acts as a PLC would, only it is designed specifically for the dust emissions and dry particle flow industries. Traditional triboelectric technology has been advanced, making the new triboelectric monitor a communicative information processor. The network's interactive software allows remote controol of each evice and real time monitoring. In addition to predicting a bag failure, the system can precisely locate the row, group of rows, or compartment in which a leak is detected. Built in recording and reporting features have been designed to help provide compliance with applicable environmental permit conditions. An optional maintenance management package provides a powerful tool for generating and tracking maintenance work orders from start to finish.
