Femtosecond Optical Code-Division Multiple-Access

摘要

We discuss a project aimed at demonstrating the physical feasibility of a novel, high-speed communications network based on encoding and decoding of coherent ultrashort light pulses. Relevant component technologies, such as fiber pigtailed pulse shpers, femtosecond dispersion compensation, and ultrafast optical thresholders, are also discussed.
