The Effect of Saturation History, Confined Pressure and Wettability on the Saturation Exponent

Archie' s saturation exponent - n is an important petrophysical parameter, and its value is usually determined by core analysis in laboratory. According to the classical well logging theory the saturation exponent is supposed to be a constant for a given rock. However, measurements of re-servior sandstone and Austin limestone samples show that the saturation exponent is dependent on the various factors, such as saturation history, wettability, confined pressure, and temperature, especially,be more remarkablly by saturation history and wettability.
