The principle of the technology is that the flue gas from furnace hearth dusted by an electrostatic precipitator flows first through the cooling tower in which its temperature decreases to 65 °C or so, then flows through the reactor in which it is irradiated by high energy EBA to activate nitrogen (N_2) ,oxygen (O_2), steam (H_2O) in the flue gas and to generate activator such as OH, O, HO_2 etc. It makes sulphur oxide (SOx) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) in the flue gas oxidated to form sulphate (H_2SO_4) and nitrate (HNO_3), and it reacts neutrally with ammonia (NH_3) pre-penetrating into reactor to form ammonium sulfate ( (NH_4)_2SO_4) and ammonium nitrate (NH_4NO_3) which can be used as nitrogen fertilizer. The dry-type technology without any drain treatment devices is used, which decreases the construction cost and the operational maintaince expenses. It is a new flue gas purification technology with a desulfurization and denitrification simultaneously, and with the by-product nitrogen fertilization retrieving. At present, it is to be used in the industrial test of 300,000 Nm~3/h in Cheng Du Thermal Power Plant co-operating with Japan EBARA Corporation.
