Meanwhile.it is the most urgent sub.iect to be studied in the planning & development of a city in every country. As a participant in the construction work & protection of Quanzhou as an historic-cultural city,in the practical work of the years, I deeply feel that in order to sake good the construction & protection of a cultural-historic city,particularly in the renovation of an old ciyt. the key point is in the appropriate handling of the four following relations: 1.Proper handling of the relation between the protection and constructive renovation of the old city.
