Novel In-Cell Capacitive Touch Panel Technology in a Wide Viewing Angle IPS-Mode Display

摘要

This paper is a presentation of a 3.6 inch WVGA (800×4 80) IPS-mode LTPS TFT display prototype with a novel In-cell mutual capacitive touch technology. The panel has a very simple structure utilizing the Vcom layer for TFT LCD driving for touch panel scanning and the top ESD ITO layer patterned for touch panel sensing. The prototype demonstrates an integrated touch solution with high signal to noise ratio and good multi-touch performance.
