Novel Dynamic Driving Scheme (DDS) for Cholesteric Liquid Crystal Display with Grayscale Capability

摘要

A novel Dynamic Driving Scheme with the ability to drive the ChLCD into both full on and off states as well as stable gray scale states is proposed. An effective method for generating middle tone gray scales with a low pulse frequency was also discussed. On a 160×160 ChLCD stable on, off and gray scale states have been achieved by using a discrete driver board.
