Upgrading Existing Coal Preparation Plant in Viet Nam by Transferred Japanese Coal Preparation Technology

摘要

Japan Coal Energy Center (JCOAL) has been carrying out a coal preparation technology transfer program to Asian developing countries entrusted by Japanese governmental fund since 1994. The paper will introduce the outline of the latest project and result for increase of coal yield ratio at Cua Ong coal preparation plant in Vietnam and optimization of jig operation. As a technical topic of technology of the projects, VARI-WAVE jig developed in Japan introduced to an existing jig at the plant is also presented. The VARI-WAVE jig is an improved jig with variable wave pattern system and has been achieved excellent performance in Viet Names as well as in Japanese coal preparation plant. Moreover, present situation of Viet Nemeses coal and the critical issue of coal preparation plant such as a dewatering issue for fine coal is presented in this paper.
