This paper takes example for Ef low permeability reservoirs, systematically studies the formation mechanism and synthetically analyzes the factors which can affect the reservoirs physical characteristics from macroscopic and the microscopic angle. Based on the core chemical examination data and oil test data, this paper studies the lithologic characteristics, reservoirs property, depositional characteristics and diagenesis etc. and takes a fine log interpretation of low porosity and low permeability reservoirs with various methods from multi-angles. We identify the fluid property by using all kinds of new logging technique, analyze the ground stress according to the XMAC logging data and get the rock parameters, maximum horizon principal stress, minimum horizon principal stress and wall stability etc. and study the fracturing layer and the principal to choose the perforation parameters. Based on analyzing the productive capacity with the productive exponent and flow rate and combined with other information, it indicates the next exploration block of Ef reservoirs in this area.
