This paper discusses remote operations of odorization equipment at Rochester Gas & Electric, and outlines the ongoing process of installation, operation, and benefits realized by upgrading our odorization system to a remote operated system, utilizing the latest technology for remote communications. We believe we are on the cutting edge of odorization technology in this regard. This document discusses how the use of SCADA integration at RG&E allows us to design, construct and operate a system capable of 24 hour monitoring, control, troubleshooting and maintenance.
