摘要

It is very important for transformer design to calculate magnetic losses accurately. This paper studies the numerical calculation methods for hysteresis and eddy current losses in metallic magnetic materials. The skin effect is considered in the calculation of eddy current loss. And combining Rayleigh formula and the area enclosed by hysteresis loop with FEM is used to compute hysteresis loss. We made a power source with some different frequencies. According to the relationship of hysteresis and eddy current losses to frequency, the separation techniques of magnetic losses are studied. The analysis results for TEAM Benchmark Problem 21 are successful.
