Bidimensional fluid modle for VBR MPEG video traffic

摘要

The broadband bandwidth of ATM networks allows to develop new video services.To rduce the resource allocation in htese networks,the video services employ ocmpression tecniques.the most common use techique is the MPEG algorithm.In order to maintain the image quality the MPEG coders generate a variable bit rate.Usually,a sommothing system is inserted between the video codr and the usr network interface.The purpose of this system is to imporve the perofmrance of ATM networks.In this way,the traffic delieved to the network maximize the multiplexing gain.
