This paper presents a limited flooding broadcast algorithm of LP-Gossip based on a location prediction mechanism. In the LP-Gossip algorithm, through the ARIMA model to predict node location of the next moment, each node calculates the relative position between themselves and their neighbor nodes to decide whether to forward the route request. Those nodes who didn't forward the requests take the gossip mechanism to cache the request and wait for a reasonable time, which is to determine forwarding the RREQ or not depending on the number of the same RREQ the node received from its neighbor nodes in the waiting time. The simulation results show that the LP-Gossip protocols can more effectively reduce broadcast redundancy in the network and reduce routing discovery delay at the same time to ensure the reliability of data transmission.
