Development of a Global Process Information System - (PPT)

The coatings industry has ever-increasing requirements for effective management of process parameters. These requirements become even more difficult when coating facilities are located on multiple continents, involve language barriers among technicians, use various types and styles of equipment from multiple suppliers, must meet variable customer requirements, and include multiple processes and technologies (ecoat, powder, wet paint). The creation and implementation of a global system to not only acquire this important data, but to consolidate and provide realtime process and operating information, is critical to effectively manage a global coating organization. The presentation covers the challenges to create a system, develop the global infrastructure, train, and implement the information system across the entire enterprise. The system provides real-time operating and productivity information to maximize efficiency while ensuring, on a real-time basis, that information is readily available to the organization. The translation of this global data into an effective tool allows a large enterprise to meet and exceed customer requirements across multiple locations, customers, and technologies while providing exceptional value to the customer.
