This research proposes a two-port, dual-band cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna array (cDRAA) operating in sub 6 GHz n77/n78 5G and super-extended C frequency band applications. The cDRAA is designed on FR-4 substrate having a footprint of 65×30mm2 with a thickness of 0.8mm. The cylindrical dielectric resonator (cDR) is composed of Alumina material possessing the dielectric permittivity (ϵr), permeability (µ) and density (ρ) of 9.9, 1, and 3900Kg/m3, respectively. The cDRA is excited by a 50Ω microstrip strip transmission line with a volume of 13×4×0.8mm3 to generate dual resonances at 3.6 GHz and 6.7 GHz. The cDRAA is simulated using CST MWS, which exhibits fractional impedance bandwidth (FIB) of 32.30% (3.14-4.35) GHz and 10.44% (6.35-7.05) GHz at resonances 3.6 and 6.7 GHz, respectively. Further, simulation analysis ensures that the isolation between two cDRA is well below -12dB, realized gain above 4dBi, radiation efficiency above 80%, Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) < 0.01, Diversity Gain (DG) ~ in both operating bands. Therefore, concerning antenna and diversity performances of proposed cDRAA, it is a considerable applicant for sub 6 GHz 5G and super-extended band -C applications.
