PFC Cuk Converter Fed PMBLDC Motor for Ceiling Fan

摘要

This paper analyses effectiveness of PFC Cuk converter in driving a PMBLDC based ceiling fan for variable speed and load. The system consists of VSI fed PMBLDC through a Cuk converter. A simple closed loop control that combines speed and current modulation is carried out to maintain constant DC link voltage. The MATLAB simulation results validate the modeled system for providing a wide range of speed and DC link voltage control with improved power factor.
