Dr. Hsun-Yu Lin 1.1 Scientist tor the Green Energy & System Integration Research & Development Department ot China Steel Corporation m Taiwan. 1.2 Assistant Professor at the Institute of Environmental Engineering ot the National Sim Yat-Sen University. 1.3 Prior to joining China Steel Corporation, Dr. Lin worked for the Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration and a semiconductor company. 1.4 His primary research is in technology development tor Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) slag recycling, CO_2 capture, and purification ot fuel gas and combustible gas. 1.5 Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the National Sun Yat-Sen University. 2. Objectives of Presentation 2.1 Dr. Lin will discuss the potential of using powdered BOF slag to capture CO_2, and explain how ro estimate the amount of CO-2 captured in the carbonarion process.
