The design of transmission volume holographic gratings was proposed in this work. The PVA/AA-based dry photopolymeric material was prepared as holographic recording media. The optical setup using to prepare the volume holographic gratings was built up. Considering the spatial resolution of the photopolymer dry film, the gratings with different spatial frequencies were prepared and the diffraction efficiency of the waveguide structure was measured indirectly. The gratings with the max diffraction efficiency of 44.92% was demonstrated. The holographic waveguide was fabricated with the grating with the optimized diffraction efficiency as an input coupler. The input of laser beam into the waveguide was realized with the designed structure.
