This paper presents differential inputs to single ended output transimpedance amplifier (TIA) preceded by voltage amplifier and buffer to derive 1pF load. The main objective of this work is to achieve high trans-impedance gain while meeting other required performances. It is simulated in CMOS AMI Semiconductor’s C5 process. For frequency bandwidth extension (−3-dB BW), inductive-peaking technique is employed. The simulation results demonstrate that proposed design of TIA analog front end (TIA-AFE) achieves high transimpedance gain of 110dBΩ and −3-dB bandwidth of 336MHz for 50fF input capacitance. The input noise spectral density is about 1.6 pA/Hz1/2 at frequency 336MHz. TIA consumes 21mW DC power under 5V supply voltage and this design is suitable for optical sensing receiver and other related applications.
