摘要

In this paper, a new approach to determination of motor speed and position has been presented using Inductive sensing (LDC) technology. It provides system level details for the implementation along with the algorithm needed for speed and position measurement. The paper has been specifically targeted for motors; however the concept can be utilized for other applications such as gear counting, wheel speed sensing, and rotary dial. The robustness of LDC device makes it suitable for use in harsh and dirty environments.
