摘要

The paper presents distributions of electromagnetic fields occurring in the low-pass version of a birdcage RF coil, compatible with the nanoScan PET/MRI system. The authors focused primarily on the simulation of the electric and magnetic field on the phantom surface. The distribution of the energy absorption coefficient inside the coil (in the phantom) is also presented. The physical basis of the phenomenon used in magnetic resonance imaging is also discussed, key from the point of view of the electromagnetic problems raised in the article.
