Carbon-based semiconductors like carbon nanotubes and reduced grapheneoxides (RGO) are suitable candidates for photocatalytic degradation. Incorporation of metalnanoparticle, such as Au, Pd, and Pt are capable of absorbing visible light. Graphene is a twodimensionalhexagonal lattice of carbon atoms and is extremely popular among researchersbecause of its unusual optical, mechanical, electrical, and catalytic properties. In this work,RGO-Au, RGO-Pd and RGO-Pt photocatalyts are prepared and their excited state dynamics ismeasured by femotosecond transient absorption spectroscopy. The photocatalytic performanceof prepared photocatalyts is investigated by the degradation of Methylene Blue (MB) underUV and visible light.
