Greenhouse Gas Emission Evaluation for the Republic of Paraguay - Energy Forecast between 2013-2040

The aim of this article is the presentation of the obtained results from the assessment of greenhouse gases emission, as part of the project for the elaboration of the Energy Prospective for The Republic of Paraguay at year 2040. The main goal of this project was to show projections of long-term demand and energy requirements of the national socio-economic system, and the corresponding supply before the alternative of two contrasting socio-economic scenarios and their respective energetic scenarios. The results of the greenhouse gases emission has as a basis the Energy Prospective study up to the year 2040, envisioning the reaching of a sustainable energy structure, based on lines of action meant to increase of the level of penetration of sustainable energy sources as well as the country's energy productivity levels. The results obtained from this study are of an indicative and exploratory nature of the possible consequences on the demand and energy requirements and the consequent emission of greenhouse gases.
