Smart Landfill Monitoring System using IOT “An Approach to Safeguard Public”

“Namma Coimbatore - Swachh Coimbatore” scheme has been introduced in smart city projects, to enhance the latest technology using Internet of Things (IoT) which plays a major role. Internet of Things is used for many approaches as garbage monitoring system and waste disposal monitoring systems. In proposed system it is explained the need for smart landfill monitoring system using sensor, pi-camera, smoke detector to avoid infections and pollution caused due to hazardous gases. In this approach sensors are placed around the areas of landfill when there is hazardous gas release, sensor will detect and pass message to the nearby municipal office. With the help of GSM/GPRS message is transmitted. This method is not expensive and data are maintained in cloud.
