The Determination of Contact Temperature during Mechanical Treatment of Materials

the analysis of methods for determining the contact temperature in the blade and diamond-abrasive processing of materials, including the processing of natural stones. A method for determining the contact temperature in the machining of materials with different physical and mechanical properties is proposed. The method involves continuous feed of the tool toward the thermocouple and simultaneous oscillography its output voltage and determining the approximating function for the temperature distribution in the processed material. In the process of cutting, the tool is stopped when the optimum distance between the tool and the thermocouple is reached, and to determine the contact temperature, the approximating function obtained at the stage of their approximation is extrapolated at the remaining area of cutting.
