Outage probability analysis in hybrid cooperative cognitive radio networks

With proper resource allocation, the quality of service mainly capacity can be improved. The link quality is maintained by keeping SNR above a threshold called minimum protection ratio. Uplink resource allocation based on hybrid cooperative CR network (HCCRN) is considered in which licensed radio and cognitive radio are integrated. Cognitive relay is used for range extension to achieve greater capacity. Cognitive relay can communicate with BS using licensed radio resource (RR) and uses cognitive RR for local coverage. Thus it can work in full duplex mode and outperforms conventional relays. Alternatively, cognitive RR can be used for back-haul and licensed RR for local coverage if SNR on a particular link falls below predetermined threshold user faces an outage. The best link will be set for communication by taking care of allocated power to be minimum, depending on SNR of every link.
