Matlab GUI as assistance tool for transmission lines design

摘要

This document describes the operation of the program developed using the GUI interface of Matlab that allows calculating electrical and mechanical variables that are required when designing the transmission lines. Among the variables to be calculated, we have: Resistance, Reactances, Admittance, Electrical Moment, Corona Effect, Mechanical Tensions, Arrows, Power Loss by Thermal Limit, Power of Transport, etc., results obtained when operating the program are presented and compared with some examples. The book "Lines of Transport of Energy" of Luis María Checa is used as a basis for the development of the program and to verify the final results.
