Condition assessment method of power transformer based on the classification of component and performance

Transformer is the key electrical apparatus in power system. Using suitable assessment method to get the state of transformer is important for the stability of transformer. The current researches about assessment method mainly focus on the study of single or small parameters and there is no systematic assessment method to evaluate the component and performance of the transformer. Therefore, a condition assessment method of power transformer based on the classification of component and performance is proposed. Firstly, index system based on the classification of component and performance is established. Secondly, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to calculate basic weight of the indexes. Then, a fuzzy deterioration evaluation method based on distribution model is proposed to analyze the deterioration degree of each index parameters. Finally, condition assessment results of component and performance can be got by the fusion of D-S evidence theory. The most serious condition assessment of all components and performances is selected as the condition assessment of transformer. The accuracy of the condition assessment method was verified by example in field.
