The research efforts on micro-grid are increasing rapidly. Hybrid AC/DC micro-grids are one of the most popular topics because of its flexibility and high efficiency. Nonlinear loads on AC micro-grid can deprave the power quality thus the harmonics need to be eliminated. In this paper, the harmonics on AC-side of micro-grids are absorbed and transferred to DC-side of micro-grids through the bi-directional inverter or a novel connected DFIG. The repetitive control is applied. The effects on the DC-side of micro-grid with harmonic elimination by bi-directional inverter and DFIG are discussed. And the final results prove that using the novel connected DFIG in hybrid AC/DC micro-grid for AC-side harmonic compensation can significantly reduce the harmonics that transferred to the DC-side of the micro-grid.
