摘要

As the world struggles with the dilemma between acceptable' and the 'practicality' of growing 40 billion animals for meat, Fancom sees an opportunity to offer a realistic alternative. Many consider iFarming to be a future philosophy for meat production in the intensive farming industry where the interests of the farmer, consumer and society are balanced. Market developments convey a cleat message: "in 2050 the world population is expected to reach 9 billion." Together with ongoing economic growth indeveloping regions, this will lead to a massive demand for animal protein. This implies that meat production has to intensify alongside a responsibility with regard to animal welfare. At the same time the move towards metropolitan farming will introduceadditional challenges such as the acceptance of meat production in our back yards and the need to reduce emissions to zero footprints.
