Flow Behavior of composites of PA6/kaolin nanoparticles

PA6/kaolin nanoparticles composites were prepared by melting blending and the rheological behaviour were studied. Results showed that the non-Newtonian index of composites were lowered than that of pure nylon 6, caused by the addition of nanokaolin. In the meanwhile, a decline in flow activation energy is also observed. Accompanied with the increasing content of nanokaolin, the apparent viscousity of composites first increases then decreases, peaking high when the content of nanokaolin is 8%.
