The motivation research of headquarters migration from the perspective of social capital theory - take listed real estate companies in a share market as an example

This paper adopts some related data of those listed real estate companies that have relocated headquarters, and use both of the paired sample test and weighted least squares regression model to research the relationship among headquarters migration, enterprise social capital, and corporate performance. The result indicates that headquarters migration brings significant improvement of enterprise social capital and corporate performance, meanwhile, enterprise social capital has positive effect on corporate performance, especially more significant on organizational social capital. The study has shown that, as a noneconomic capital, enterprise social capital has becoming a very important factor for entrepreneurs to make the decision of headquarters migration.
