The work performed in the scope of the research project focused on the question as to whether and to what extent different spraying parameters influence the quality of the produced protection coatings. Another aim of this work conducted for the purposes of the research was to deepen the knowledge of the characteristics of the thermally sprayed, sealed layers. Overall, an improved corrosion protection due to sealing was measured. In addition, the adhesive bond strength increased after the sealing process. But the main focus is on the improved corrosion resistance due to a systematic change in thinning concentration of the sealing medium.
