The conversion process in non-conventional energy system play a vital role looking to the utilization factors at the consumer site. Hence in this paper the entire focus has been diverted to the conversion process of PV system. The conversion process includes here a multi-level inverter which is modeled through MATLAB/SIMULINK. The MLI is using reduced number of switches which helps to reduce harmonic content and in return quality of power improves. In this paper comparative analysis on THD has been made between 25 level and 49 level inverter and it is found that using 16 number of switches on 49 level MLI instead of 12 switches on 25 level MLI the THD content reduced to nearly 1% from 3.2% in 25 level MLI.
