摘要

Flow around a cylinder is a classical problem in fluid mechanics. Two-dimensional numerical method is used to simulate the problem about three tandem cylinders with different diameter by a finite volume method. Through the simulation, the variations of lift coefficient, drag coefficient and vortex-shedding frequency with different distance between the adjacent cylinders are investigated. The simulation result shows that three tandem cylinders with different diameter can evidently reduce drag coefficient and lift coefficient.
