Based on the significance of roadway stability control technique on improving the economic benefits of the mines, this study was performed to research the stability control techniques of the surrounding rock and supporting structures in deep thick alluvium soft rock. In view of the fact that the stratum joints and fissures of ZhaoLou Mine have developed completely, we investigated the supporting system relying on anchor-grouting technique. The combination of high-strength yielding anchor and cable was proposed for reinforcing the Ingate. Furthermore, jet concrete and reinforced concrete were supplemented to guarantee the stability. Monitoring results showed that the combination supporting scheme significantly improved the stress state and the bearing capacity of the surrounding rock, effectively controlling the deformation of the Ingate.
