Effects of Motherwort total alkaloids on prostatitis model of rats

To study the effects of Motherwort total alkaloids on prostatitis model of rats. Methods: Give different doses of Motherwort total alkaloids to the prostatitis model of rats, measured in rat prostate prostatitis model index, prostatic fluid white blood cell count, IL-2, IL-8. Results: Compared with the model group, the Motherwort total alkaloid dose group can significantly reduce the prostate index of model rats (P<0.05), the Motherwort total alkaloid of high, medium and low dose group could significantly decrease the levels of white blood cell in prostate fluid model in rats (P<0.01), IL-2 and IL-8 level in prostate inflammation model in prostate homogenate (P < 0.01). Conclusion: The high, medium dose groups of the motherwort total alkaloids has inhibitory effect on prostatitis.
